George Devack
George M. Devack was a proud veteran with a heart as big as his mouth. Known for his unwavering loyalty and unfiltered honesty, he was the kind of guy who showed up when it mattered most. A hard-working, tough-as-nails man, George never sugarcoated anything—but beneath that rugged exterior was someone deeply loving and fiercely protective of those he cared about. Whether lending a hand or cracking a joke, George did everything with grit, heart, and an unmatched sense of loyalty.
He dedicated his life to the United States Army, embracing a life of service, discipline, and brotherhood. His military family meant the world to him—bonded not just by uniform, but by mutual respect, shared sacrifice, and lifelong camaraderie. They were his brothers and sisters in arms, and he held those relationships with deep pride.
George loved fishing and hunting, and he found joy in giving back through a nonprofit called The Fallen Outdoors, where he met more amazing veterans who shared his passion and sense of purpose. Being part of that community allowed him to continue serving others, forge new friendships, and heal through nature and connection.
Yet nothing meant more to George than his daughter, Lexi. She was his whole world—his pride, his joy, his greatest love. Every decision he made, every sacrifice he bore, was with her in mind. His love for her was unconditional, endless, and evident in everything he did. In her, he found his purpose, his peace, and his legacy.
George had a very close relationship with Lexi’s mother, Tracy, and her stepdad, Troy. Together, they formed a strong and supportive co-parenting team, always working together in Lexi’s best interest. George’s ability to maintain love and respect within that blended family spoke volumes about his character and his devotion to his daughter.
He also shared a deep bond with his own family—especially his mother and his brother—whom he loved dearly and kept close to his heart throughout his life.
